Listen in wild wonder and amazement at the searing logic and in-depth analysis of Episode 604, “The Lighthouse”. While there’s a disappointing lack of a half-naked and grimy Kate in this episode, we get to see more of Crazy Claire.
Everyone but Heather thinks Jack is a douchebag, among other things.

LOST: NTTE Ep. 3 "The Substitute"

 Listen here

No, this episode wasn't about that young substitute teacher fresh out of college that all the boys wanted to make out with back in high school. It's about a few substitutes... or maybe just one. Who knows? But it's a goodie nonetheless.

First we get a "smoke monster's-eye view" of his travels through the island where he comes acorss loud music in Sawyer's house. Later, we see the Smoke Monster turn into the form of John Locke. Woah!

We finally get closer to some solid answers, too!

"Smoke" John Locke is having a chat with Richard when he is distracted by a small blond boy. N.A.M.B.L.A. loved this episode for just that reason.

"Smoke John" takes Sawyer-- who is back to his threateningly-ornery old self and quoting Of Mice and Men again-- to a cliff that looks much like the one Hurley almost jumped off of in season 2. We find out that near the bottom of the cliff, there is a cave, Jacob's cave, and it can only be reached, we think, by going down "Jacob's Ladder".

Meanwhile, in sideways time, everyone that met on the island due to the crash, is now meeting on the island (or other planet as some might say) known as Los Angeles, California. Hurley's luck and attitude are great, and he owns many companies. One of those companies employs Rose, who Locke meets after meeting Hurley. Locke later meets Ben, who is an English teacher, while Locke is a substitute.

Most important, we think, is that we are closer to finding out the significance of the numbers 4-8-15-16-23-42, each of which corresponds to a name of one of the survivors of flight 815. Wow-wee!

Listen closely to our in-depth and insightful analysis of this episode.

Anyway, LOST fans, Sayid is alive, Jack is almost tricked into poisoning him, Sawyer runs off to go back and find the DHARMA engagement ring he bought at Jarred for Juliette, Kate helps Claire when she goes into labor, and a certain someone shows up on at the end of the episode. The only question is: what did we think about it?
